LESSON PREPARDENESS:
Student's, in order to maximize lesson time should arrive five (5) minutes early.
If the student is not in the studio within the first fifteen (15) minutes of his or her lesson time, he or she is considered a no show and a lesson is no longer owed. The studio clock is the "official" time.
PARENTS:
In order to have the least amount of distraction, I strongly prefer that parents do not come to lessons.
In my experience students are more comfortable and less distracted when parents are not present for class time.
If you (the parent) or the student feels strongly that a parent should be present for the lesson then it is permitted, however, I ask that you don’t participate in the lesson or instruction in anyway.
OTHER:
While we will be using some of my own music for lessons, students need to provide their own music for practicing and performances, as my own music is for use only in the studio.
I encourage students to bring a blank tape to record lessons with. It’s very helpful to have it for practicing during the week.
We will be learning songs from many different genres of music, but I encourage students to focus on what they love to sing. So, students, come with some songs in mind that you would like to learn so that we can have fun learning what you love to sing! Can’t wait to see you!
